Ireland’s photographs privilege the quiet\, subtle details of Hollyhock House and make visible the care and conservation that sustain the site over time. \nThe title of the exhibition comes from Frank Lloyd Wright’s autobiography\, in which he describes the process of realizing Hollyhock House. For Ireland\, Wright’s phrase “even by proxy” points to the fraught relationship between client and architect in building the house as well as the ongoing project of preservation. \nEven by Proxy is presented in partnership with Project Restore and the Julius Shulman Institute at şÚÁĎłÔąĎÍř. \nLearn More About the Exhibition URL:/event/janna-ireland-even-by-proxy/ ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/webp:/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Hollyhock_Janna-Ireland_Digital-Rectangle_NO-DATES_251216a.jpg-e1773699878947.webp END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=America/Los_Angeles:20260426T160000 DTEND;TZID=America/Los_Angeles:20260426T190000 DTSTAMP:20260425T210645 CREATED:20250123T201719Z LAST-MODIFIED:20260422T203728Z UID:56988-1777219200-1777230000@woodbury.edu SUMMARY:Class of 2026 Commencement Ceremony DESCRIPTION:Our Class of 2026 Commencement Ceremony is currently scheduled to take place on Sunday\, April 26 at 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM PST.\nCongratulations on this momentous accomplishment. Students will receive 3 college credits for each session completed and a certificate. \nSession One\nJuly 5 – July 19\, 2026 \n\n\nPrinciples of Stop-Motion: The Art of Claymation\nInstructor: Jeremy Mowery\nThis two-week course offers an introduction to the fundamentals of claymation production. Drawing on stop-motion animation techniques\, students will animate modeling clay through frame-by-frame camera recording in set-based three-dimensional space to create a short film or scene. \nLearn More\n\nArchitecture Through Nature\nStudents will discover how nature inspires architecture and design. Through observation\, sketching\, digital play\, and model-making\, participants will transform natural patterns and forms into creative architectural concepts\, finishing with a public exhibition of their work. \nLearn More\n\n\n\nSession Two\nJuly 20 – August 2\, 2026 \n\n\nMotion Capture and Gaming: 3D Characters in Motion\nInstructor: Paul Smith\nIn gaming\, actors wear suits embedded with sensors that capture their body movements\, facial expressions\, and even subtle gestures to help create lifelike and dynamic characters. In this two-week course\, students will demonstrate a blend of motion capture and traditional keyframe techniques to push the bounds of their character’s personality\, the exaggeration of body dynamics and ragdoll physics\, and the quality of animation\, giving students the opportunity to assume the roles of performer\, technician\, and director as they produce a 3D animation short. \nLearn More\n\nFashion Design: From Concept to Creation\nInstructor: Alexandria Sellers\nIn this hands-on introductory fashion design course\, students will learn to draw a basic fashion croqui and sketch a custom design for one of three items: a tote bag\, T-shirt\, or circle skirt. Then\, students will experiment with various surface design methods such as dyeing\, embroidery\, block printing\, or HTV application to incorporate into their final piece. By the end of the course\, each student will bring their unique vision to life by creating a wearable or functional fashion item that showcases their design and technique. \nLearn More\n\n\n\nScholarship Information\nWe believe that every student deserves the opportunity to pursue their passions and reach their full potential.
