COVID-19 Update from Our Nurse | June 29, 2020

As we get ready to return to work, our campus community’s health and safety is our number one priority. The COVID-19 Response Team has been working diligently to provide a safer workplace for our community. Social distancing, facial coverings, and frequent hand washing are vital to keeping our community safe and healthy.ÌýÌýÌý

ÌýÌý

As of June 25, 2020, we have no known cases of COVID-19 in our community. As the campus nurse, I keep myself updated and informed with all the changes that are happening daily.ÌýÌýÌý

ÌýÌý

TestingÌýÌý

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will provide on-site testing for our campus community.ÌýMend Urgent Care will be on-site on July 20, 2020, to test our staff and faculty.ÌýÌýÌý

A follow-up email with appointment times will be sent out next week. Please watch out for the email.ÌýÌýÌý

Temperature ChecksÌýÌý

We ask our staff, faculty, and students to do a temperature check before commuting to work. If your temperature is above 100. F, we ask you to stay home.ÌýÌýÌý

Daily Symptom CheckerÌýÌý

To keep our campus community safe, every employee must be assessed for COVID-19 symptoms and risk factors each day before entering our campus. The survey must be completed before your shift.ÌýÌýÌý

The start date for the daily symptom check is 14 days before campus reopening.ÌýOn July 6, 2020, you will receive an email with a link to do a daily assessment.ÌýWe ask you to do this daily to keep our community healthy and safe.ÌýÌýÌý

Contact TracingÌýÌý

Contact tracing is a critical step in preventing the spread of the disease. Contact tracing will be conducted virtually with all the individuals who test positive forÌýCovid-19. Support and Guidance will be given to the individual and contacts who were exposed. All information received will be kept confidential.ÌýÌýÌý

As part of keeping this information current, if you are feeling ill, I ask you to complete thisÌý. I will be following with at-risk individuals to ensure that you are receiving proper care and help and following the recommendations of CDC and public health.ÌýÌýÌý
